Realmente é interessante pensar sobre as diferentes formas nas quais é possível intervir na aparência de uma vestimenta usando somente uma única cor, a cor do tecido, sem se aproximar a um visual simples e aborrecido. Um destes caminho pode ser pelo uso do elemento da textura para a criaçao de novas superficies. Depois de investigar um tempo sobre a manipulaçao de texturas finalmente chegamos a conheçer o livro em inglês de de Collete Wolf, chamado de “The art of manipulation fabric”, ou a Arte de manipular tecidos. O livro e um bom manual com amplas informaçoes sobre as diferentes tecnicas como preguear ou franzir, e trouxe a inspiraçao.
Uma vez concluida a pesquisa foram colocadas maos à obra e nasceu um estilo de vestimenta que inclui elementos de textura. Essa é preparado previamente em um tecido separado e posteriormente juntado com o resto das peças. Escolhemos a técnica de trançar tecido, e neste caso tratava-se de tiras de moletom que iam formar a parte superior das blusas.
It`s interesting to think about the different ways how you can create an outfit using only one color, without making it boring. One of those ways may be using the texture as a central element create new surfaces. After investigating some time about manipulating textures finally we learned to know the book “The art of manipulating fabric” by Colette Wolf, a great source of informations about the theme. Gatheriing, shirring, pleating and smoking are only some terms the refere to the creating of texture, and brought inspiration.
So after all it was born our apparel with elements of texture, in which the texture is first of all independently prepared, and later conected to the rest of the outfit.. We used the technique of weaving fabric ribbons to form the superior part of the sweatshirts.
